Every participant needs to make his/her own travel arrangements to and from Offenburg, Germany.
Getting to Offenburg
By plane:

By Train

All of Germany's Deutsche Bahn (DB) fast train lines (ICE, IC (Inter City) and EC (Euro City)) have stops in Offenburg.
The ICE (Inter-City Express) train is the fastest and best, and will take you from Frankfurt to Offenburg in about 1.5 hours. You can find all the travel information under www.bahn.de (English available).
We have negociated a special return ticket deal with DB for the Congress

- 1st class 159 Euros
Be aware, this train deal can only be obtained up to 3 days before the Congess. After this date the deal is not valid anymore!
If you are flying from within Germany make sure you check the Rail and Fly option! This means that you can book a ticket with DB which allows you to take the train to your departure airport from anywhere within Germany.
Once you arrive at Offenburg Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) (= central station) you do not necessarily have to take a taxi or bus but if the weather and your luggage allows you can just walk (takes you about 20-30 minutes, depending on your luggage and speed of walking).

By Taxi
From Offenburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) it will take about 5 minutes by taxi to get to the Messe Offenburg (exhibition center). Cost approximately 5-10 Euros.
Later at night or on Sunday when there are no buses, call the “Anruf-Sammel-Taxi (AST)” (call-collection-taxi) on +49 (0)781-22000 any time between 7.30am and 2.30am, but at least half an hour before wanting to leave.
Within Offenburg it costs 4€.

MON – SUN: 1.00am, 9.00pm, 10.00pm, 11.00pm, 12.00am
SAT additionally: 2.00am, 3.00am, 8.00pm

By Bus
Buses in Offenburg are called “Schlüsselbuslinien” (key bus lines).
From Offenburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) you get on one of the following bus lines
S3 – direction “Schutterwälder Straße”,
S5 – direction “Printus”,
S6 – direction “Rathaus” or
7141 – direction “Lahr”
which all take you directly to Messe Offenburg in just 4 stops (Hauptbahnhof à (1) Stadtkirche à (2) Rathaus à (3) Burda à (4) Messe Offenburg), no need to change.
A single ticket for 1-2 zones costs 2.10€/person. A weekly ticket for 1-2 zones costs 14€/person.
By Car
Messe Offenburg is easily reached by car from every direction. There is a car park next to the Messe Offenburg which will probably cost 10 Euros for the whole congress. The parking ticket can be obtained at the info desk on arrival.

- From Berlin/Leipzig along the A9 motorway as far as “Hermsdorfer Kreuz“, then along the A4 (becomes A5) motorway in the direction of Frankfurt/Basel as far es “Exit 55: Offenburg“ (follow signs for “Messe“)
- From Hamburg/Hannover/Kassel along the A7 motorway changing to A5 motorway in the direction of Frankfurt/Basel as far as “Exit 55: Offenburg“ (follow signs for “Messe“)
From the West:
- From Ruhrgebiet along the A3 Motorway as far as “Mönchhof Dreieck”, then along the A67 motorway followed by the A5 motorway in the direction of Basel as far as “Exit 55: Offenburg“ (follow signs for “Messe“)
From the South:
- From Munich/Nuremberg/Stuttgart along the A8 motorway as far as Karlsruhe, then along the A5 motorway in the direction of Basel as far as “Exit 55: Offenburg“ (follow signs for “Messe“)
