Meet the Congress Team
Director of Mission-Net: Evi Rodemann
Evi studied theology after school to get to know God better and understand more about how to live and share His word. She spent a couple of years working in a local church and then about 8 years in various countries abroad.
Passionate about Europe, she returned to Hamburg, Germany where she leads the Evangelical Alliance Youth Alliance with a great team.
When she’s not working for Mission-Net, she can be found in Germany's largest aluminium company, living out a missional lifestyle!
Evi is passionate about seeing young people find their Kingdom role and living missional lifestyles where they are and where God has called them to be.
Director of Communications:
Zack Carlens
Since 4 years I am working as an internet & communication marketer for an international company specialised in Home Automation.
Before that, I spent a year in South Africa with OM. In the first few months I was part of the African Exposure team and travelled through the whole country to help churches with kids clubs, practical work, evangelising, etc. After those few months, my team merged with the Missions Training team. There I followed a Mission Training Course followed by outreaches to put in practice what we had been taught.
I always have been involved with youth work, organising events, …
About 10 years now I have been and still am a youth leader in a church in Brussels. I have a lot of personal contacts with them and having been there myself I understand that it is not easy to be a young Christian in the place where you live, in the schools and at the work place. It is a struggle and a lot of times you feel lonely. And then there is the big pressure to give in and follow the ways of the world. My passion is for the youth to be ignited by Jesus. That they will see him for who he truly is and find love, freedom and purpose in him. I love to see them taking a stand and to get engaged.
At the last Mission-Net congress in Erfurt I was so encouraged to see young men and women from all over Europe with a passion for Jesus and to live a missional lifestyle.
That is why I want to be a part of the Mission-Net movement to contribute with my talents and giftings.
Director of Logistics: Niklas Lay
Niklas works as an IT specialist for a big international trading company. Before he started working there, he spent a year in missions with OM (Operation Mobilisation) in Austria. Besides his job, he has been supporting a Christian gospel choir for five years as an audio technician and he puts his heart and soul into it. He uses his gifts to help establish God’s kingdom in our world.
In 2011, Niklas was looking for an opportunity to get more involved with missions again and was led to Mission-Net. He used his gifts to support the logistics team and helped wherever he was needed. After the congress in 2011, while the Mission-Net Europe team was looking for a new director for logistics, Niklas prayed and asked God whether this was where He wanted to use him.
For Niklas, Mission-Net means to invest into young people being 23 years himself, invest into their faith and to challenge them to get involved in missions. For him, mission doesn’t only mean to go to other countries, it already starts right where we are now. It is important for Niklas to reach that goal by using his gifts and through that glorify God.
Outreach Manager: James Price

Passionate about global and local mission, James has agreed to help coordinate the short-term mission teams for Mission-Net.
James works with World Outreach mobilising and equipping people for cross-cultural mission. He lives in London, but can often be found travelling across Europe. He is part of the Europe team for the Kairos Course and heads up Abraham Connection, a network focussed on mobilising prayer and mission amongst the least reached people groups of Europe.
