Evi talks

I had the privilege of attending the GO2012 missions festival last weekend just outside London on the amazing premises of WEC Int. 11 partners had decided to host GO2012, develop more for youth and included camping for the first time. As Mission-Net we were excited about this opportunity and therefore were the official supporters of this UK event.

Had the privilege of meeting up with Joel Edwards, Director of Micah Challenge, last Sunday! What a treat talking to such an inspiring humble leader with a passion for God, church, mission and justice!

At the past Mission-Net congresses Micah Challenge (at the last one together with Tearfund) helped us to raise the awareness of poverty and being able to raise our voices together against injustices.

Finally the films are ready to be watched! And we love them!

We also love the bunch of young people from France who decided to do some films for Mission-Net and show the world what the congress is all about! May this stir us to live missional wherever God places us!

Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Call2All Western European conference where I was able to network for Mission-Net. A story Hans Peter Nuesch shared, really challenged me concerning Mission-Net:

Two men went fishing. One man was an experienced fisherman; the other wasn’t.

Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.

Patrick Johnstone writes in his new book "The church is bigger than you think":

“At the heart of any church´s ministry agenda, should be God´s heart for a lost world. Its budget apportionment, prayer involvement and deployment of workers should show it.”

As our world is on the move and undergoes rapid changes, we also see a Christianity developing and growing which is the largest size ever on this earth. The church indeed is bigger than we think.

We are so excited that the clip about the last Mission-Net congress has been finished and launched this weekend.

We are very proud of the group of dynamic young French people who had the vision to produce such a clip and spent many long hours on producing a short and long version! Bless you, guys!

Help Micah Challenge to shine a light on corruption...Europe’s key role

Over 1,300 people took action at the last Mission-Net congress in support of Micah Challenge’s “Shining a Light on Corruption” campaign, and on March 21st we’ll be handing over all of your postcards to a representative of Danish Government in Brussels.

On the 2 January the 2. Mission-Net congress finished well in Erfurt! In our bones loads of us on the Mission-Net team including the service team members are still tired but we are soaring in our hearts!
