What is a missional lifestyle?
According to Matthew 28:18-20 if we accept to live with Christ we are all missionaries. The missionary lifestyle comes with conversion. It depends on the ministry. Some missionaries work in their profession, others can work openly as missionaries in their place. We are examples of Christ and this should be our lifestyle.
 
How can I find my calling?
Through a time in silence, reading the Bible, prayer and fasting or through a personal call from God. Through the prayers of other people, who pray about whether it’s right to go or not.
 
How can I prepare myself for the mission field?
A few years past from the time of my first calling until I was finally sent out. It was very important for me to share my calling with my home church, friends and family. Getting documents in order and administration, finding friends and forming a friendship circle, looking for funds to cover expenses. Health checks, reading books about the history of the country where you are going to serve, visiting people who are foreigners in your country but are from the country where you are going to work, doing interviews. Spiritual preparation (voluntary time in your church helps you to see both sides) and orientation with the mission that sends you.
 
Can I do mission in my own country?
Yes of course, it’s not necessary to go to a foreign country. Open a children’s homework help centre. Offer practical help for single mothers, the elderly etc, run a guesthouse or offer hospitality to serve people (body soul and spirit). Be a Christian in business. Being a missionary begins already in my own family or with my neighbour.
