The frying pan and Mission-Net

Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Call2All Western European conference where I was able to network for Mission-Net. A story Hans Peter Nuesch shared, really challenged me concerning Mission-Net:

Two men went fishing. One man was an experienced fisherman; the other wasn’t.

Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.

The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing this man waste good fish. “Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?” he asked.

The inexperienced fisherman replied, “I only have a small frying pan.”

“Well, why not get a bigger frying pan rather than a getting the smaller fishes”? asked the experienced fisherman.

How big is my/our frying pan for what God can do in Europe and also through Mission-Net?
